Suicide Prevention Month

Hi! I know it’s been a while since my last post.

For all you newcomers… My name is Razina. I am 24 years old and a mother of twins… hence the long hiatus I have been on.

Welcome to Live Thrive Die Company! Live Thrive Die Company is a lifestyle brand that I created to inspire people to live life on their own terms and experiences rather than living through someone else’s views. I truly believe that social media, pop culture, and social norms influence people to be something that they are not.

Growing up - I always tried to be someone or something I was not. I would “keep up with the Joneses”, I was never truly happy with myself, and I was always looking for some form of validation from other people. It wasn’t until after I had graduated high school that I realized I needed to stop doing what other people are doing and I needed to focus on how I could better myself and what truly makes me happy… to do things that helped me find my inner-self and do things that benefited me and not other people.

I know some people may find this state of mind to come off selfish, but at the end of the day… the only person you have to fall back on is yourself. If you’re not happy with yourself… you will NOT make the people in your life or the people around you happy and that’s a fact. The energy you give off to others is reciprocated back to you in some shape or form.

My dying wish for Live Thrive Die Company is to promote endless self-love and self-care for ourselves, so we can better our relationships with ourselves, with others, and for the future generations.

Break The Silence

So, let’s talk. We are now in the month of September 2019.

September is National Suicide Prevention Month.

I know it’s a dark and tragic topic, but it’s time to break the silence.

The number of people who have committed suicide has risen to a 30-year high.

Suicide can stem from the lack of self-love, self-care, or self-happiness. Suicide can also stem from illnesses… it can be mental, physical, or emotional distress. Lastly, suicide can stem from lack of support from others. We need to be aware of the signs. We need to constantly check in on our friends and family. We need to let those know who are struggling that there is help and resources out there to aid to recovery.

On average, 121 people commit suicide in a day in the United States. That equals to over 44,000 people each year that commit suicide. When viewing the numbers from a global standpoint - that number increases to over 800,000 people that commit suicide. These are the numbers that we know. Unfortunately, there are numbers that haven’t been reported due to the stigma that surrounds suicide.

We need to break the stigma.

In honor of National Suicide Prevention Month, I am doing a campaign and fundraiser as an Agent of Impact (AOI) through Hope For The Day. Hope For The Day is a non-profit organization founded in 2011 by Jonathon Boucher to promote suicide awareness for all and proactive suicide prevention for those in need. Hope For The Day has plentiful resources, tools, and support for suicide awareness and suicide prevention. Please, feel free to check out more information through their website at: hftd.org.

I am aiming to raise over $400 to fund a proactive prevention workshop for 30 students with Hope For The Day. For the month of September, for every purchase made through Live Thrive Die Company - every $5 of each purchase will be donated to Hope For The Day.

I will be releasing a new, small line on Sunday, September 8th. This line will consist of one unisex hoodie for these up and coming chilly months and two women’s tank tops for my ladies to layer over or to rock at the gym! Even if you decide not to purchase anything from the new line - your $5 donation will still be donated if you decide to buy other items from Live Thrive Die Company’s shop at livethrivedieco.com/shop!

If you decide you don’t want to purchase anything from Live Thrive Die Company’s shop, but still want to help out my fundraiser - you can make a donation as little as $1 on my Agent of Impact website at: my.hftd.org/livethrivedieco.

Thank you in advanced for all your help and support!

"My Relationship with A Drug Addict" Series

With a lot of down time on my hands being on maternity leave, I have been doing a lot of self-reflecting and writing. I hope y’all know it took a lot for me to open up and publicize this. I created this two-part series of “My Relationship with A Drug Addict” in hopes to spread awareness about addiction and the broken record of a relationship it can be; And when enough is enough - you need to step up, be the better person, learn when to walk away, and realize you are not responsible for other’s actions.

PROJECT JENNA Raised Over $600!

Our beloved family & friend Jenna DallaValle was living a normal 21-year-old life working & teaching dance, laughing & hanging out with friends, and enrolled in school to obtain her Occupational Therapy degree when suddenly she was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma back in March of 2018.

Jenna’s life became filled with emotional, mental, & physical distraught, doctor’s visits, surgery to remove the infected lymph nodes in her neck, and up to 6 months of chemotherapy to fight back and be cancer-free.

With the help of family, friends, strangers, and other cancer fighters & survivors - PROJECT JENNA sold over 80 shirts and raised over $600! PROJECT JENNA was created by Live Thrive Die Company to raise money to donate to Jenna & The DallaValle Family. Shirts were created and printed locally right in the heart of the Northwest Corner of Connecticut. With every shirt purchased, every $8 was donated to the cause. The project was an honor to have and to see a high demand for shirts that sent out a message and helped out a lovely family couldn’t have made it any better!

Rally with Jenna! The GoFundMe page created by the Casey Family has so far raised over $12,000 out of their $15,000 goal! Amazing!

As of July of 2018, Jenna officially finished her chemo treatments and had no more signs of active cancer!

Today, Jenna continues her education, working & dancing, spending time with her loved ones, and most importantly continues to fight cancer; As well as raising awareness to others to donate & to support cancer research.

Thank you to everyone that has been so supportive through Jenna & The DallaValle Family’s journey! We love you Jenna!
